Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 10, is
continuing to grow at a very steady pace, attracting more users with every
passing day.
In fact, now, Windows 10 has reached the 10% Market Share
mark, according to statistics from Microsoft. Even though its findings are
in-house, third party sources reveal very similar findings.
For instance, StatCounter
data shows that Windows 10 has reached 10% market share for the first time
since its launch — this makes it the third most used OS (operating system) in
the world.
In the last four months, Windows 10 has overtaken Windows XP
and Mac OS X and is starting to move in on the gap with Windows 7, which is
still the market leader of desktop OS’s around the globe.
This is all good news for Microssoft, given the Windows XP
scenario that lies ahead of the 2020 support date end that is scheduled for
Windows 7; the leading system has now dipped below the 50% market share mark
for the first time.
What do you think about Windows 10? Have you installed it
and if so, are you enjoying it? Are you hesitant and if so, why? After four months, it certainly looks good so
far!
